Many products on the market today claim to be “sewer safe” and “flushable,” but they are not biodegradable and clog our sewer mains.
Nonwoven materials, feminine hygiene products, condoms, some facial wipes, kitty litter, and diapers are labeled as flushable but are causing problems in the wastewater collection system.
Please do not flush damaging products down the toilet!
As a general rule of thumb, ONLY FLUSH HUMAN WASTE AND TOILET PAPER!
